Albina bent 40,000# of steel for the steel tree-like columns and curved “steel” branches that create the biophilic-inspired archway entrance for the Freyer-Newman Center at the Denver Botanical Gardens. Albina bent 60 pieces of W8 X 31# A992 the hard way to a full scale layout. We also bent Tube Steel 8" X 6" X .500" WALL A500 GR B the hard way and MC8 X 20# A36 the hard way. The Freyer - Newman Center is a LEED GOLD building, designed by Denver’s Davis Partnership Architects. The Center houses six classrooms; four galleries; new herbaria for vascular plants, mushrooms and slime molds; laboratories; a new library and a coffee shop.
Displayed in the courtyard of Louisiana Tech's Business School, "Aspire" creates a unique piece of curved steel artwork for the students to pass by on the daily and imagine the person they aspire to be. Artist @curt_pittman (www.curtpittman.net)

TS 14" X 6" X .375" WALL A500 GR B 12 pcs all bent the easy way to a 40 ft – 43 ft radii.
TS 10" X 4" X .250" WALL A500 GR B 5 pcs all bent the easy way to a 27 ft – 30 ft radii.
TS 6" X 3" X .375" WALL A500 GR B 4 pcs all bent the easy way to a 36 ft – 44 ft radii.
1½" SCH40 A500 GR B 21 pcs all bent to a 28 ft – 44 ft radii.
Albina is part of yet another "What's Cool In Steel" project! "Flourish", a gateway sculpture located in Lake Oswego, Oregon is featured in the December 2021 Issue of Modern Steel. Albina bent 6 lengths of 2½" SCH40 T304 S/S POLISHED- to a 32’-0” radius for “Flourish." The sculpture was installed as a welcoming gateway to the city and in addition, it addresses pedestrian and vehicular traffic along sightlines to the north and south on HWY 43.

The Arizona Biltmore (A Waldorf Astoria Resort) recently opened their new Paradise Slides and equally as impressive as the slides themselves is the spiral staircase used to acend to the top of the slides. Materials Albina bent for this project included tube steel, various sizes and widths of pipe and round tube as well as several pieces of angel and channel. Next Level Steel was the fabricator on the project.
A full list of bent materials includes:

We recently spiraled nearly 100 pieces of plate which formed the spiral staircase stringers of a multi-level spiral staircase for a major tech company in Seattle, WA. We also rolled 37 pieces of stainless steel tubing for the handrail. Materials rolled included:
1" THICK A572 GR 50 PLATE IMPORT MATERIAL Phase 1: Spiral roll the easy way a total of 80 pcs.
1" THICK A572 GR 50 PLATE - 2" THICK A572 GR 50 PLATE Phase 2: Bevel, Roll and Trim a total of 20+ pcs
1½" SCH40 T304 S/S #4 FINISH Phase 3: Spiral roll 37 pcs of handrail.
We currently have three plate rolls in our facility ranging from small to large capacity. We just received a new CNC plate roll and have purchased another medium capacity plate roll to arrive in November. Contact us for all of your plate rolling needs!
“The Front Runner in Steel Bending. We Tower Above the Rest." We were thrilled to be an integral part of reconstructing Hayward Field at the University of Oregon and got to witness it in person these past two weeks thanks to our niece @ambertanner24 who competed in the NCAA Track & Field Championships in early June and this week in the US Olympic Trials!
Hayward Field is the world-class home to @OregonTF, but this week it takes center stage at the US Track & Field Olympic Trials. Albina created the curved steel diaphragm used to support the roof structure and provided various bent materials to help construct the landmark tower at the northeast corner of the facility. Designers wanted to create a structure that was open and airy, allowing spectators to enjoy great views and natural daylight, in an intimate environment.
In addition to the iconic roof, the tower at Hayward (187 feet tall) creates a community landmark honoring the first 100 years of track and field at Oregon. We rolled 400 lengths, varying from 20’-0” to 60’-0” long, of Tube Steel 8" X 4" X .500" WALL A500 GR B, 8-5/8" OD X .625" WALL A500C WHEELED, 8-5/8" OD X .375" WALL A500C WHEELED, 8-5/8" OD X .250" WALL A500C WHEELED, and Flat Bar 3/8" X 4½" A36. That is 330,000# lot weight (165 tons) of rolled steel, 10 inbound trucks and 16 outbound trucks! Photo Credit: @brooke_smith_photography
